Summer Salad Recipe

This summer salad recipe is refreshing and energizing with healthy almonds to add protein to your day.
1 head green leaf lettuce
1/4 cup almonds
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
1 avocado, peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
3 Tablespoons orange juice
3 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
In a large salad bowl, tear the lettuce into large pieces.
Arrange oranges, avocados and almonds over top, then sprinkle with poppy seeds.
To make vinaigrette, Combine all ingredients and whisk well.
Add the vinaigrette to the salad when ready to serve.
