Spinach Canneloni Recipe
This spinach canneloni is an easy recipe to put together. It is especially tasty with young spinach. Choose a canned or jarred pasta sauce that you really like the flavor of. This is a hearty satisfying meal that goes perfect with a fresh healthy salad.
10-12 canneloni shells
1 medium onion, siced
1 clove garlic, crushed
4 cups spinach
1 cups ricotta
3 Tablespoons flour
1/2 cup milk
1 Tablespoons butter
1 (26.5 oz) can spaghetti sauce
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cook pasta according el dente.
Heat the butter and fry the onion for 2 minutes.Add flour and 1/2 cup milk stir so no lumps of flour remain.
Add in spinach and cook until wilted, remove from heat and stir in crumbled cheese.
Fill each round with the filling.
Arrange the stuffed canneloni in the greased baking dish.
Pour the spaghetti sauce on top and around of the cannelloni.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle on the grated cheese. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
